PRIDE Survey
Posted on 11/30/2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District is taking part in the Pride Survey in grades 7, 9 and 11 during the week of Dec. 17. The results of this survey will help us design and implement programs that promote student health, academic achievement and school safety, such as reductions in adolescent substance abuse and bullying behavior. The survey will ask questions about student alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; school safety; risk and protective factors and/or learning conditions that affect school climate and mental health.

Students will be asked to fill out an online questionnaire that takes about one class period or less to complete. The survey has been designed to protect your child’s identity; it is totally anonymous. Students will not put their names on the survey. Also, no student will ever be mentioned by name in a report of the results. We would like all students to take part in the survey, but the survey is voluntary. Students can skip questions they do not wish to answer.

Please complete the parent/guardian Pride Survey consent form by Friday, Dec. 14.

If you would like to hear more about the Pride Survey, we invite you to attend a special Parent University event “Vaping: What your kid’s don’t want you to know” on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m. in the High School South auditorium. A panel of stakeholders will present the risks, challenges, and realities of vaping among adolescents within our community. Please RSVP for this event.
