Parent Resources
Student Assistance Counselors (SACs) are available to parents/guardians as a resource to help their child manage a variety of challenges as adolescents. The SAC can help you and your child address non‐academic concerns that may be affecting daily functioning and success in school. We offer confidential assistance and can be available to answer general questions about child development during middle and high school.
As a resource for parents/guardians, we understand your need to know what your child may be discussing with us. However, due to confidentiality and the trusting relationships that SACs develop with their students, conversations between SACs and students are generally private except when there is potential for student harm. We, therefore, encourage students to talk to their parent/guardians and we are available to facilitate conversations between students and parents/guardians if needed.
