
The West Windsor – Plainsboro Regional School District Board of Education has announced a Plainsboro vacancy for a board position, effective May 27, 2025, with the resignation of Mrs. Robin Zovich. The Board of Education thanks Mrs. Zovich for her years of service to the WW-P Regional School District. The vacancy shall be filled within sixty-five (65) days, as prescribed by law.
The Board of Education, within the powers delegated to it by law, is the policy-making legislative branch of the West Windsor – Plainsboro Regional School District. The individual appointed will serve as a member of the West Windsor – Plainsboro Regional School Board of Education from the date of appointment through December 31, 2025.
Interested individuals must be:
- A citizen of the United States of America;
- At least 18 years of age;
- Able to read and write English;
- A resident of Plainsboro for at least one (1) year preceding the date of appointment;
- Not directly/indirectly interested in a contract with, or a claim against, the Board;
- Registered to vote in Plainsboro;
- Not disqualified as a voter pursuant to NJSA 19:4-1;
- Not have been convicted of any of the crimes or offenses enumerated in N.J.S.A. 18A;12-1 or conspiracy to commit or attempt to commit any of said crimes;
- Not be the mayor or a member of the governing body of Plainsboro.
The successful candidate must undergo a criminal history background and fingerprinting check within 30 days upon appointment to the Board of Education.
In order to be considered for this appointment, any interested Plainsboro resident who meets the qualifications described above must submit a letter of interest, resume, and any other relevant information indicating their qualifications. The applicant may also include reasons their selection to the school board would be of value to the District and the students. This information should be presented in a form that will assist the Board of Education in making an appointment. Interviews with candidates for the Board vacancy will be conducted in public during the scheduled Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Board of Education meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. Prior to their interview, each applicant will be provided the opportunity to make a three-minute statement that elaborates on their submitted letter and resume; reasons for wanting to serve, qualifications, and areas of priority. The Board will follow-up with any questions. After all statements and questions are concluded, the Board will adjourn to executive session to deliberate. After returning from executive session, the Board will make nominations in public session to fill the position and then vote to appoint one of the candidates. The candidate with a majority vote of the remaining members of the Board will be appointed. Following successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting (must be completed within 30 days of June 24, 2025), the appointed candidate will take the oath of office and become a voting member of the WW-P Board of Education.
