Reminder: For the coming week (May 16-20, 2022) and moving forward, all students (PreK through post grads) and staff at all WW-P schools and offices will be mask optional. Masks will still be required by all passengers on buses, regardless of vaccination status.

Please note that with much of the state moving to the orange (high) CALI status, masking is strongly recommended.

Dear WW-P Community,

This week, we have not only seen a rise in COVID positive cases in our schools, we are also seeing an increase in cases in our community and the state of New Jersey in general. After several months of the NJ COVID-19 Activity Level Index (CALI) indicating the entire state is in the yellow (moderate) level, the majority of the state’s regions were increased to the orange (high) level with the activity report for the week ending May 7.

For the coming week (May 16-20), WW-P schools and offices will remain mask optional but masks are strongly recommended. WW-P does reserve the right to consider universal masking for all students and staff. In the New Jersey Department of Health K-12 Guidance (updated Feb. 22, 2022), it is stated that with a CALI score of orange (high), schools should strongly consider universal masking for all students and staff, especially if there is difficulty incorporating other layered prevention strategies.

No matter the status of masks in our District, students and staff are reminded that they should not come to school when ill and experiencing COVID symptoms. It is also essential for parents/guardians to continue to report COVID-19 positive tests and symptoms (via the Health Form in the Genesis Parent Portal) to the District so that contact tracing may occur and virtual instruction arrangements can be made for students.

As has been said in the past, COVID is an ever evolving situation. Any changes to District masking protocols will be communicated to parents/guardians and staff members when they are known.

Reminder: Tomorrow, May 14, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. the District will offer free, optional, COVID testing at High School North (90 Grovers Mill Rd., Plainsboro). This COVID testing program is open to all WW-P students and vaccinated staff members. The free, optional, testing program is conducted by Mirimus, a state contracted company. Test results are expected back in approximately 48 hours. For more information, please click here.
