Dear WW-P Community,
For the week of April 20, 2023, the New Jersey Department of Health reported the CDC COVID-19 community levels were low in all New Jersey counties as are influenza and respiratory illness levels. Although the levels are low, we must continue to practice several health habits that will help to protect ourselves and others from COVID, the flu, and respiratory illnesses. These include: staying home when feeling ill (and 24 hours after being fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication), getting vaccinated, covering coughs/sneezes, washing hands often with soap and water (using hand sanitizer when soap/water is not available), and avoiding touching eyes/nose/mouth.
School Calendar: A reminder that currently all WW-P schools are closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 29, 2023. Due to a mild winter, WW-P still has one additional emergency closing day for the 2022-2023 school year. The District will make a final decision regarding closing schools on Friday, May 26 (the remaining emergency closing day), the week of May 8.
2023-2024 and 2024-2025 School Year Calendars: The updated 2023-2024 school year calendar (please note the date change of middle school parent/teacher conferences to Oct. 25-27, 2023; elementary parent/teacher conferences will remain unchanged Oct. 10-13, 2023) and the 2024-2025 school year calendar are now available on the District website.
