Dear WW-P Community,

A reminder to all families and staff that all WW-P schools and district offices are closed this Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022. To view the 2022-23 school calendar, please click here.

This coming week (Oct. 3-7, 2022) also marks the observance of the Week of Respect. Designated by the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (P.L.2010, c.122) in order to raise awareness to prevent harassment, intimidation and bullying, this week is celebrated throughout schools in New Jersey. Age-appropriate activities will occur throughout WW-P including school-wide theme days, character education, read-alongs, random acts of kindness and more.

Parent Teacher Conferences:
Good communication between home and school is an essential part of a student’s school success. One of many opportunities to meet and talk with your child’s teacher is during Parent Teacher Conferences.

Elementary school parent teacher conferences will be held Oct. 11-14. Evening conferences will be held Thursday, Oct. 13. All conferences will be virtual. These dates are also early dismissal dates for elementary schools; half-day preschool is closed. This year, parents/guardians can register for a conference through the Genesis Parent Portal. Instructions for registering for a conference were emailed to families yesterday. The registration portal will open for appointments Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Middle school parent teacher conferences will be held Oct. 13-14. These dates are also early dismissal days for middle school students. Middle school conferences are ONLY teacher initiated. Families will be contacted directly if a conference is requested. Teachers will not meet with all parents. If middle school parents/guardians have questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

COVID Vaccine Clinic:
The District, in conjunction with the West Windsor Health Department, will hold a COVID-19 vaccine and booster clinic Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4-6 p.m. at the Board of Education district offices. Registration is required. Please click here for more information and to register. Adult and pediatric doses and boosters (including the bivalent booster) will be available at the clinic for those who are eligible. Please note that the bivalent booster is now available to eligible individuals ages 12 and up both at the WW-P/West Windsor Health Department clinic as well as at many other vaccination sites. Additional vaccine clinics will be scheduled throughout the school year.

Sincerely,
David Aderhold, Ed.D
Superintendent of Schools
