On this 25th anniversary of September 11th, we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and all who served, and hold close the families and communities forever changed by that day.
As a school community, we remember not only the events of September 11, 2001, but also the compassion, courage, and unity that emerged in the days that followed. We remain committed to teaching our students the importance of remembering history, honoring those who served.
Today, and always, we remember 🇺🇸 #WWP #WWPRSD #NeverForget #WeRemember

#FeatureFriday: Congratulations to Pema Nodong, our WW-P DEI Coordinator, for being named a 2026–2027 @reimaginingmigration Belonging Fellow!
Pema recently joined leaders nationwide in Chicago to kick off a year of collaboration dedicated to creating tools for belonging. Participants examined drivers and dividers of belonging in Chicago neighborhoods as well as in their own ecosystems. Through this fellowship, Pema is excited to bridge silos to build even stronger connections and pathways for our community. #WWP #WWPRSD #WWPPride #ReImaginingMigration #BelongingInEducation

☀️ Summer is far from over, but August is officially Back-to-School Month! 🎒
While there's still plenty of time for sunshine and family fun, now is the perfect time to start easing back into school routines.
Here are a few simple ways to help your student transition back into "school mode":
📅 Start adjusting bedtime and wake-up times by 15–20 minutes each day.
📚 Read together for 20 minutes a day to get those learning muscles moving again.
🍎 Practice packing lunches or choosing healthy snacks.
🎒 Check backpacks and school supplies so you're ready when the first day arrives.
😊 Talk about the upcoming school year and help build excitement for new teachers, classmates, and opportunities.
A little preparation now can make the first week of school smoother for everyone! #WWP #WWPRSD #Back2School

#FeatureFriday: Last week, WW-P parents and guardians gathered at the High School South Media Center for an incredible opportunity for connection and growth through a Nurtured Heart Approach® Workshop.
After kicking off the morning with breakfast and great conversation, Pema Nodong (DEI Coordinator) and Jon Walton (Community Middle School Counselor) led the participants in diving into powerful, actionable strategies for parents to channel children's intensity positively, celebrate their inner strengths, and cultivate more peaceful homes. We extend our deepest gratitude to the WW-P Education Association for making this invaluable event possible through a PRIDE grant.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to learn, grow, and thrive together!

School might be out, but the Village School garden is always in season! 🌱 From fresh blooms to thriving vegetables, this special space continues to grow all summer long.
The harvest doesn't just stay on campus—fresh produce from the garden is shared with the JFCS of Greater Mercer County Food Pantry, helping nourish our local community.
A little piece of the Garden State, growing right here at Village School 💚 #WWP #WWPRSD
