Welcome to the webpages for Student Health Services for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District.

The school nurse will give emergency treatment to those students who are injured on the playground, in classrooms, in the building and/or on the way to school, and will inform parents. The school nurse can administer medication to a student during school hours, but only with written directions from the physician and the parent. This includes all types of medication, even over-the-counter drugs. No child in grades K-6 may carry any medication in school. Illness occurring during the school day will be evaluated, and the student will either be sent home or allowed to rest in the Health Office and then return to class at the discretion of the nurse.
Cumulative health records are reviewed periodically. Parents will be informed if immunization data is incomplete and requires updating to comply with New Jersey State Law.
  • Students are screened for height, weight, vision, hearing, blood pressure, and scoliosis according to the recommendation timetable of the New Jersey Department of Education.
  • Pediculosis (head lice) screening is done periodically throughout the school year.
  • A physical examination is required for all new registrants.
