HSS Hall of Honor

The WWPHS South Hall of Honor is a proud tradition that honors deserving past Pirates for their accomplishments and/or service to our school. There are three categories of awards for Hall of Honor inductees.

The Pirate Achiever Award is for those alumni who have brought honor to themselves, and thereby their alma mater, through actions of achievement, service, or overall contributions to the common good of society.  The reason for their recognition must have occurred after their graduation from WWPHS.  This award is also for those alumni who have brought recognition to themselves, and thereby their alma mater, through achievement recognized by sources other than the high school, in such areas as academic, athletic, artistic performance or community service.  The recognition may have occurred during their high school years at WWPHS, but is not limited to just their time in high school.

The School Service Award is for those individuals who have provided extraordinary service to WWPHS South.  These may include teachers, staff or parents who have served in official capacities (i.e. school board members, PTA members) as well as those who have served as volunteers (i.e. booster club members.)  This award is open to anyone who has provided extraordinary service, whether or not they had children attend WWPHS.

The Inspiration Award is for those who have extraordinary leadership and inspiration to WWPHS.  The individual must have served in some capacity during their involvement with WWPHS as a leader, motivator, inspirer, mentor or skilled practitioner.
